A great and absolutely deserved honor, Bill. I'm sorry that you're no longer able to carry on with your work, but know that Kathi and Kelly will do so, as well as the countless colleagues you have influenced over your distinguished career. Thinking of you and Kathi.

An honor that is well-deserved. Thank you for your efforts to make this a better world and for writing so eloquently and with such grace about this portion of your journey — a journey that each of us makes under different circumstances but with our humanity in common.

Again, congratulations.

WOW. This is an amazing honour. This is a clear indication from your colleagues, the administration and the Lord that your personal character, research and child psychiatry work are valued and appreciated by innumerable doctors, researchers and families. Well done, Bill!

This is just wonderful Bill! What a fantastic legacy, well deserved. I love the video and can see how you and your work continues to inspire. And, even more, what comes out clearly is what a joy your are to be around, your deep humanity and integrity. I also love that these things are being said, out loud, NOW! While you are here and with us and can hear them!

It was totally unexpected. I was satisfied with my career and was not hungry for recognition. Therefore, getting this recognition, and the many kind words that were said, was just a gift.

Bill, we could and we have argued about whether your assessment on the value of your work is correct in not changing things, but how does that assessment make you feel?

Kelly, I feel bad that the population mental health of children and adolescents has not improved.

I feel good about our work. We did some of the best work on screening implementation, learned from it, and then asked the right questions about where the field needs to go next.

Thank you, Laurie, that is such a kind thing to say. We both know how deep the suffering of these families is, and how poorly the system cares for them.
